Migrant

Live is extremely difficult because my farm is gone. I'm heading to the big city California because of the flyers and opportunities in California. When I arrived in California, jobs are still hard to find because of the number of other farmers seekig for jobs in California. If I am lucky, I might find a job to support my family but most of us ended up with even more nothingness. As the days past by, we found some kind of job and on our spare time, us Okies sing a little both privitely and publicly. When WWII broke out, most of the farmers left to fight for our country and the ones that stayed took the opportunity and got many well  paid jobs because the lack of men in America.

American Dream

When America was first discovered, Europeans created the American Dream because they wanted to seek out new oppourtunities and start all over in the free land. The American Dream is a concept that suggests anything could be achievable or attainable throughhard working. In early1600s, America was a land full of opportunities. Most Americans shared the goal which was working hard to get more land and power. Theoriticaaly, the American Dream can create happiness and joy in living. In reality, the American dream was just another idealistic dream that cannot be achieved because of injustice in society like inequility.
